How to Promote Your Business Through E-newsletters

e-newsletter, email, newsletter
The regular conduct of a Newsletter or E-Zine is essential for promoting your business online. Here I will reflect some basic considerations for your newsletter to be successful and at the same time I’ll show you the ten general rules that are almost mandatory.

1. Take care especially of your writing. Remember that your message will be read by lots of people interested in its contents. Try to keep polite and serious all along all the articles, but avoid if possible the widespread use of terms too technical and that can keep you from potential subscribers who are not used to the jargon of your business. It is necessary to reach the midpoint between specialized and informative content.

2. Properly organize your information. In general, it is best to start with a header that presents the publication, and the number thereof. The following may include an advertisement, trying not to exceed 3 or 4 lines. Do not forget a table of contents, so that with a quick glance your subscriber know where to go to. And finally enter your articles, trying to make these no exceed the 800 words.

3. Be careful in controlling the volume of your newsletter. Consider what the ideal size is and try to maintain it in a standard. This way, your subscribers will know how much time is to be used in reading everytime. Avoid large areas. The proverb "the good is short ..." is perfectly applicable on the Internet. You are already in the mailbox of subscribers, do not make them lose even a second longer than necessary for their valuable time.

4. Try to make contributions from other sites or businesses near you. Do not be afraid to give them much support as opposite to convert your newsletter into a mere advertising of your competitors services. Remember that the number of subscribers will increase gradually if they see that it is not just to sell but to provide useful information and varied in its sector.

5. Consider using the standard sending use text instead of HTML. The latter is much more showy, but its sendings will be slower. Furthermore, not all subscribers will use a compatible HTML client mail service. If you finally decide to override the layout and color, still offer a text version for customers who demand it.

6. Convert your subscribers into your prescribers. Enter at the end of the newsletter the possibility that these, through a "link" can easily forward to other acquaintances who might be interested in your e-zine. It is an excellent way of promotion that does not result in any expenditure.

7. Always offer the option to unsubscribe by the simplest way. The easiest thing is that one subscriber who does not wish to continue receiving the newsletter can send a blank e-mail or follow a "link" for the cancellation. Be very careful with this. Immediately updated its database to avoid sending someone who does not want your information. Remember that the subscription is voluntary, and sendings are considered unwanted spam, one of the most rejected practices on the Internet.

8. Keep your database in a safe place and avoid it being used by outsiders to your business. The customer data are protected by LORTAD, and you can not trade with them. Your database is your greatest asset, but remember that it is data of their clients, and these have to be sure that will not be any traffic with them.

9. When the number of subscribers acquire a significant volume, use a professional application of mass-mailing. There are plenty of them in the market, easily customizable, and certainly more powerful than your home e-mail program.

10. Promote your newsletter whenever possible. Offer the opportunity to subscribe from your website. Research on websites and search those who specifically want e-zines and sign up with them. In short make your newsletter one of the headlights of their sector and that the largest possible number of people are interested in receiving.

If you satisfy all these rules you can be sure that your website will get a substantial increase in visits, and this will affect positively your business. Remember that the aim  of Internet as its should be to achieve repeat purchase or visit from clients. Use your newsletter to affect the loyalty of its visitors, and you will certainly not be disappointed.
