How to Create a Website With The Help of a Content Management System (CMS)

cms, content management system
Every time we hear about Content Management Systems (CMS), the term seems to escape out of our hands. Therefore, here I'll tell you what they are and why they have become important tools for creating and designing websites.

Basically, a content management system or CMS is a set of basic functions that are built under the Websites and therefore save time and resources in their development, especially those starting from scratch.

But how these systems work?

Well, when we create a website, we must determine whether the site will be informational in nature, commercial (e-commerce), a gallery of images or videos, social network like blogs, forums, etc.. Once this is determined it'll be easier to to know the objectives we are targeting to and facilitate the choice of tools to be used for the project.

The next step is to search for the different characteristics of each of the CMS to see if they work under an open source or proprietary. I recommend using an open source or free CMS if we seek to lower the costs, because every time we need access to source code to modify it its operation can be done with complete freedom and at the time we want. However, when they are closed source CMS, this freedom is limited by having to rely on someone else to manage the system and therefore its administration requires a larger payment and less self-control on it.

So when you decide to create a website, take into account the type of content management system (CMS) that your website requires to best suit your needs and your users, visitors and customers.
